Lighting the world one step at a time

Electricity may be found in numerous places in the cities, but some villages in remote areas are still in the dark. Governments are working with non-governmental organizations to find a way to reach this areas. Funding of these projects has become a major issue and even the world bank has joined in the fray to give Grants For Solar Panels. As the waters go down, it becomes more expensive to generate hydro-thermal electricity. However, using the sun, solar panels help bring light to arid areas and once fitted in the buildings, are less expensive to maintain. So what motivates the world to light up? Modernization of the world and industrialization. One cannot have half its population struggling with electricity and water while the other forges ahead.
