I Could Do a Better Job
My boss thinks he knows everything about how to make our company website better. He’s all excited about the metrics, but I don’t think he even knows what the numbers mean. He sees big numbers and he gets all excited, but are we actually getting more customers? I don’t think so. I keep telling him, there’s more to web analytics work than seeing statistics on who visits your site and when. You have to know how to understand the data, how to put it to use. If we really got useful information out of these numbers, we could make a lot more sales.
